Christ In Us, With Us, Through Us

Youth Ministry

Director of Youth and Family Ministries: Kari Schaefer

The Youth Ministry of Grace Church welcomes and supports our youth and their families, inspires and guides their spiritual growth as followers of Christ, and empowers them to serve the church and the world.

Our Ministry Values

Christian Discipleship:  We strive to live Christ-centered lives that reflect the love of God.

Hospitality:  We create a Christian community in which all feel welcomed and accepted.

Joy:  We embrace laughter, energy, creativity, and humor as expressions of the
                                           bountiful life in Christ

Compassion:  We strive to show respect, care and compassion toward ourselves, each
other and all of God's creation.

Outreach/Mission:  We commit ourselves and our resources to outreach, service, and ministry.

                                                 The Uzone  (see sidelink)

The Uzone was established in the spring of 2007 as an off-site outreach ministry to the youth and families of our community.  Volunteers and staff provide summer tutoring to elementary through high school age youth.  During the school year, the Uzone serves as an after school drop-in center and also provides tutoring help for middle through high school age youth. Our congregation underwrites the majority of the Uzone budget through mission monies, grants and special offerings.  Other monies come from community grants, private and various organization donations, which recognize the work of the Uzone as a tremendous asset to our community!
